7th Month Update
As I did not take Avastin in October, my condition underwent a complete reversal! From the beginning of the month until mid-month, my health deteriorated. The coughing intensified, making it almost impossible to lie down and sleep at night. Whenever I lay down, the coughing would persist, forcing me to sleep sitting up. The condition of pleural effusion in the right lung also started to become as severe as the left lung. Initially, I only needed to have the left lung drained every two weeks. Now, it has escalated to a weekly routine of hospital visits because both lungs need alternating drainage each week.
The doctor suggested the option of installing a drainage tube directly, but due to fear, I quickly declined. By the end of the month, the situation with pleural effusion worsened. In just three days, the left lung accumulated over 700 c.c. of fluid. When I heard this, my heart sank halfway, and a sudden sense of weakness overwhelmed me. The doctor decided to revert to chemotherapy, temporarily halting targeted therapy. The results of the MRI showed that the brain tumors remained stable in size. The doctor advised maintaining the status quo. After completing chemotherapy on November 28, a few days later, my entire leg swelled, and I experienced a high fever in the middle of the night. Fortunately, it lasted only one day.
